Are Diarrhea And Yellow Urine During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?
Hi, I'm 39 weeks pregnant and in the past week I've been experiencing loose bowels/diarrhea, small amounts of protein in my urine (normal blood pressure), bright yellow urine, and severe cramping/pain in my left abdomen. Should I be concerned? I'll be induced in 5 days. Thank you!
I'm 33, 5'4", 170, second pregnancy.

Hi, I understand your concern. - If you have loose motion at any stage of pregnancy needs to be taken care of,for it causes dehydration & weakness. - The severe cramps you have might be because of diarrhea/ starting labor pains. The Dark colored urine can result dehydration resulting from diarrhea. - But urine test should be repeated to exclude/confirm albumin in it. * You should start taking plenty of liquids with salt & sugar,to avoid dehydration.Light food like rice, buttermilk, light tea/coffee,coconut water should be taken. * Needful medicines advised by your treating doctor will help to preserve your health & energy for the induction you are going for. * In case the cramps increase, consult your doctor ,for labor may start automatically. Thanks.
