These are non specific symptoms which can be due to food
poisoning, simple
gastritis, urinary infection or any viral infection. According to the nature and consistency of stool and whether it has any blood or not, the diagnosis varies.
And also the kind of food you have taken, the place and whether others are also involved - all these are important in considering the food poisoning.
In Viral infection usual symptoms are
fever, severe
body pain, joint pain, decreased appetite, severe weakness etc.
In order to rule out these, a good history of the symptoms along with investigations including the stool examination is required.
So its good to involve your family physician early on to know the cause and for the treatment.
