Hello,
First thing I would mention that
Gilbert syndrome and
fatty liver are different things. Gilbert syndrome is a congenital partial deficiency of an enzyme and is of no clinical concern.
Regarding fatty liver, it's quite common, many people don't get any problem, however, it has been increasingly the cause of
cirrhosis liver. So it's important to focus on it. Unfortunately, there is yet no specific drug for treatment of cirrhosis but
weight loss, exercise, and food changes like more vegetables and fruits (fewer carbs) is the best thing that helps the fatty liver.
Yes, you should not take too much protein but up to 1 to 1.5 grams protein per kg per day is fine if you are using the gym. This is very important to avoid any type of
steroids, as it worsens fatty liver but may also have many other problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
