Are Discoloration And Swelling In Ankle Suggestive Of Clogged Artery In Foot?

Hi my name is Judy Hammonds, I have PAD and here lately I ve noticed a change in the color of my ankle and it goes up a couple of inches on my leg.It s not red, it s more of an orange color. My question is this; could this be a clogged arterie in my foot? there is no pain and very little swelling. I ve also had 2 stents put in this same leg about 4 years ago...Please advise. Thank You, YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

I will suggest you to have a look into your lipid profile and thyroid function testing. A yellowish lower tibia with mild swelling is indicative of a hypothyroidism or a hyperlipidemia . Clogged arteries almost always manifest in the tip of toes.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
