Are Dizziness And Feeling Of Passing Out Related To Vertigo?

I have been getting dizzy, feeling like passing out but don t. I even feel confused or dazed like. It has been coming and going for a few days now. The first day was awe ful. I went to MD, completed EKG and blood work. Nothing unusual. They determined it was an inner ear infection and vertigo. I don t think this is vertigo. Last night pulse was 116 at rest. I m not spinning, etc. what else could it be or could I have checked?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be a sign of vertigo. Other causes like anemia and thyroid dysfunction can also present with similar symptoms.

Consult a physician and get evaluated. Conditions like hypo or hypertension also are ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
