Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Dizziness And Tinnitus Side Effects Of Remeron?
I have just begun taking remeron (15mg) and have noticed a pronounced sedative sensation and mild dizziness and ringing in my ears- can this be expected to continue? This is not helping a bit w/ dpression although it did seem to work as a sleeping pill....
You are suggested to get physically examined by an ENT doctor to rule out any developing inner ear disorder, get an audiometry test done to test your hearing ability. If tinnitus is detected you will need medications for a longer period.
When the nervous system gets affected with the side effects of Remeron, you may experience dizziness, get abnormal dreams, changed thinking pattern, tremor or confusion. Contact your treating doctor, you may need a change of prescription.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
