Are Dizziness, Cramps, Abdominal Pain And Increased Appetite Suggestive Of Pregnancy?

Hi. I ve been lightheaded/dizzy, headaches, cramping/abdominal pain, mood swings, fatigue, increased appetite and a faster heartbeat especially when laying on my stomach. And when I lay on my stomach now it hurts even though this is usually the way I prefer to sleep. Could I be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you mention can be experienced by pregnant women but are not specific to pregnancy. This means that other conditions may cause such symptoms as well.

If you had a delayed period I would recommend you to have a pregnancy test done. This will better determine if the symptoms are due to pregnancy or not.
If you do not have a delayed period then the symptoms very likely are not due to pregnancy and if you have these complaints for another week or so, you may need to see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
