Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Yes,
hypoglycemia does cause hunger & sweating while the other symptoms are fatigue, pale skin, irritability &
tingling around the mouth. It needs to be treated & managed; else it may lead to complications like confusions, seizures, visual disturbances or
loss of consciousness. The treatment depends upon whether hypoglycemia is induced by
diabetes or is unrelated to diabetes. If it is not related to diabetes, its not much of a problem. The person can take the help of a dietitian & regulate the meal plans, he should always carry some sweet candy for emergency purpose. If it is related to diabetes, you should visit ER & get your husband evaluated,
insulin or other medications will have to be monitored, blood glucose levels needs to be monitored & maintained with medications & dietitian. Regular exercise & staying away from all addictions is must.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
