Are Excessive Sweating, Body Tremors And Leg Pain Symptoms Of Toxic Shock Syndrome?

I have been diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety, two months prior to now- my obgyn prescribed lexapro and it worked tremendously the first month, then I began to drink and miss my birth control pills. I have been excessively bleeding, my pelvis area is swollen, I have had three periods in the past two weeks. Also, I went to urgent care near my home and was told I had an UTI for the third time (the past couple of months) and blood in my urine (microscopically) that s what they always say and they prescribed me an antibiotic, that did not work. I vomited blood this morning, I m sweating excessively, my body is shaking. Legs, hands, arms, feet. Pain is chronic. My legs feel heavy like led. I guess my question is could it be possible that I have Toxic Shock Syndrome? I also have itchy, red and dry skin.

Hello,

Well, The amount of sweat considered normal is quite variable and depends on the demands of the body. Excessive sweating, also called hyperhidrosis, means that you sweat far more than your body needs you to sweat.

For example, if you sweat while sitting calmly at your desk, that is excessive sweating.

In hyperhidrosis, the body's cooling mechanism is so overactive that it produces four or five times the amount of sweat that you need.

However, sometimes if sweating happens during the night or there is associated weight loss then it may indicate some more serious issues such as lymohima or hormonal imbalances.

In every case, if this persist you should see internist first to do some tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
