Are Extreme Mood Swings And Defensive Nature Normal While Having MS?

I have MS. and a appointment is scheduled for 9 am on April 2, 2015 with a Neurologist . I am quitting smoking I am down to 5 packs a week instead of a carton. the last few weeks I have notice my ms seems to be very active worsening. where as it has been controlled for the last 10 years through diet vitamins supplements I don t like taking medicine unless i don t have a choice then I do what dr.s say.. I issue is getting my quickness under control. I am a very protective and defensive person and except no stupidity or nonsence is unexcusible. I am a wife mother and grandmother and very protective and defensive of my family. I am just asking is this heighten cause of ms symptoms worsening? Or what? I just fly off at the mouth voice opinion then calm down just as quick as I got upset.
