Are Fainting Spells A Sign Of Puberty?

HI I have a question My daughter is 10 almost 11 and Ihave taken her to the doctor this morning. She is having fainting spells and the doctor seems to think that fAainting spells are sign of puberty. She did a lipid test and a ekg test. Ekg test was fine. I havent heard anything about the lipid yet. So my question for you is Are fainting spells the start of puberty or should I get a secound opinion?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Please note that fainting attacks are not typical signs of puberty. As her ECG is normal, it is a good sign. You should go for a second opinion. I will recommend anemia screening and chest X-ray for any cardiac problem. If all come normal then she needs psychiatric evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
