Are Fatigue And Shortness Of Breath Symptoms During BP And Cholestrol Medication?
I have been feeling some kind of weakness on both upper arms & have been having shortness of breath just going up the stairs. Is that something I need to be concerned about? FYI, I am taking high blood pressure medication for a while now & cholesterol med.
Which medicines you are taking you have not written here. But yes anti – hypertensive and anti-cholesterol medicines can cause fatigue to a variable extent. There are many causes of shortness of breath such as anemia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, heart problems, and lung problems etc. It needs to be investigated. Advice 1. Continue medicines as suggested 2. Regularly check your BP 3. Consume less salt 4. Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and high fat diet 5. Consume more fiber such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables 6. Investigations a. Blood sugar b. Hb% c. Lipid profile d. Echocardiography e. Chest X – ray PA view f. Serum creatinine Thanks
