Are Fatigue, Depression, Frustration And Lack Of Concentration Methadone Withdrawal Symptoms?
My 29 year old son is being treated at a Methodone Clinic for about a year. He has stayed clean for he passes his urine tests on a regular basis. He seems to have no energy. He has a good business, but gets easily depressed and can hardly get off the couch. He knows what he needs to do, but just hasn t got the drive or energy to do it. He gets very frustrated and it is effecting him financially. He also seems to have a hard time focusing for an extended period of time. Even little details overwhelm him. I have been trying to patiently help him, but it is very frustrating for him and I both. Any suggestions?
Though the fatigue, frustration and lack of concentration do suggest Methadone withdrawal symptoms; underlying depression must be taken care with supportive medications as SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), psychologic counselling and other supportive care.
