The fever remains but spikes are less often. She has however, now developed a progressively worsening productive cough? She is only six and doesn t understand when question her about SOB but I wonder if it possible for her to have pneumonia?

Hi, the signs and symptoms of pneumonia depends on the cause and age of the child. if it is bacterial pneumonia they begin quickly than viral. Main symptoms of pneumonia in children are Fever, shortness of breath, cough and poor appetite. you can know if your child is having trouble breathing by the following. 1) if your child is breathing fast i.e, more than 40 breaths in one minute 2) your child is wheezing which means you hear a high pitched noise when she breathes out. If you find these signs and symptoms seek your health care provider he would be able to diagnose it correctly and treat it effectively.
