Are Fever, Low WBC Count And Rashes All Over Body Symptoms Of Dengue?
Hi. I habe rashes all over my body. Have a slight fever only in the evening and my wbc count was little lower than usual. Blood test suggested trace amount of dengue. Im undergoing treatment currently using iv fluids and antibiotics. Allegra for the rash.is this the correct course of treatment.?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes fever, low WBC count and rashes all over body can be due to dengue. Also your blood test is positive for dengue. Dengue fever is viral fever that is transmitted by mosquito. low WBC count is very common in viral fever. Normally in dengue, fever is self limiting & gets decreased itself in 3-4 days.Only dangerous manifestation of dengue fever can be decreased platelets. If your platelets are normal, then there is nothing to worry. You should take plenty of fluids. IV fluids are given in case of vomiting or patient unable to take fluids. Antibiotics are already given to you. Take rest, you will improve slowly.

Hope this helps
