Are Fleshy Folds Of Skin Covering The Vaginal Hole A Cause For Concern?
Hi there, I have never done a self exam so I don t know if this is normal but when I looked at the opening of my vagina I can t see a hole the hole is covered by fleshy folds of skins. It is not painful but and I can insert a tampon/finger without pain, I would just like to know if this is normal.
It could be of great help if you can send a photo of your vaginal hole with those fleshy folds so I can evaluate the changes myself. There are 2 main reasons for what you have noticed there: - Normal morphology of the vagina and vaginal hole - Vaginal warts
That's why a good physical examination by a specialist or even a picture of that area will give more details for accurate conclusions.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
