Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have these fleshy growths forming on my neck and face. They start out looking like white heads and gradually get bigger and bigger. They are not moles nor skin tags. I vaguely remember my doctor telling me quite awhile ago that they were squamous something. When I looked up squamous cells it said they were flat. These are not flat. They almost look like tiny, tiny little bubbles coming up out of my skin and they are piling up on each other. Can you explain what they might be and should I be concerned? Thank you.
The fleshy growth as you have explained like tiny tiny little bubbles coming out up piling up on each other is most probably due to the following reasons: Viral Warts. Molluscum contagium. Allergic rash with secondary changes. Neurofibromatosis. This can be well diagnosed by an actual examination by a Dermatologist preferably. May need excision and biopsy for getting a cure and getting a proper histopathological diagnosis. Consult your Dermatologist. Do not try anything at home as these may change the character which is very important for the proper clinical diagnosis and may further complicate as we have seen in many cases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
