Are Having Severe Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea Suggestive Of Pancreatitis?

Hello,I have been having severe pains in my abdomen, where my pancreas would be located. I have been in recovery from alcoholism for over 15 years, but when I was active I was hospitalized with acute pancreatitis 4 times. I compromised my pancreas to such a degree that I am now a Type II diabetic ( Insulin dependent). I have most of the symptoms for pancreatitis: severe abdominal pain, lower back pain, pain more severe at night and after meals, at onset of the pain I had diarrhea. The only thing that was absent from this ongoing episode has been nausea and vomiting. Can it be pancreatitis w/o nausea & vomiting?

Hi. This well could be another bout of pancreatitis but it could also be a peptic ulcer problem. You need to see a doctor for blood work, a ct scan of the abdomen, and upper endoscopy
