Are Headache And Swollen Finger Related To A Fractured Skull?
Hi I am recovering from a fractured skull which I received in a farming accident 5 weeks ago. I am still having headaches which I no I will for a while but yesterday the third finger on my right hand has turned redish/ purple it is slightly swollen but not painful and I can bend it. Do you think they are connected?
Your headache is probably from the fractured skull. This will take time to heal and it might be 3 months before you feel normal. Please avoid stress at work and take regular rest. This will help to recover quickly and better.
A swollen painful finger on your right hand is not related to the fracture skull. This is probably from a local cause in the hand or some thing to do with the blood supply of the arm. Please consult your doctor and have it examined. If required then your doctor will recommend a Doppler study of right upper limb and will tell if blood supply to your right arm is normal and whether there is any infection. Please do not worry.
