Are Headaches And Itching The Side Effects Of Seroquel?

I was on 400mg to help me sleep and I tapered off of seroquel until I got to 100mg. Then I just quit cold turkey. I had BAD insomnia for about 3 weeks. I didn t feel like doing anything. I CAN T BELIEVE A DOCTOR WOULD GIVE SOMEONE SOMETHING THAT COULD MAKE YOU FEEL SO BAD!!! I can t walk because I was in a car wreck. Now that I don t take any medicine, I seem to be doing better. If I would have known what this drug could do to you, I would have never taken it! OMG!! The itching was terrible!! When I was taking all the medicine I had headaches all day. Now that I don t have headaches, I can deal with walking. I think you should get off of seroquel!!

I feel sorry for the sufferings you have been through. Though Seroquel causes side effects, sometimes doctor have to weigh the benefits versus side effects and when benefits overweigh side effects, the medicine is prescribed to patient.

In addition, every patient reacts differently to medicines. For example, penicillin saves lives of some people while some die after severe allergic reaction caused by penicillin. So it was very difficult for the doctor to judge how your body will react to Seroquel before your taking it and so you had to go through the side effects.

Anyways, all is well that ends well. You have recovered from the adverse effects and healing well is all that matters. Just take care in future to inform your doctor that Seroquel does not suit you to prevent such agony.
