Are Headaches And Shortness Of Breath Due To Anemia?
My college age daughter has been experiencing headaches, shortness of breathe, dizziness for the past few weeks. Today she also had her hand cramp up. At first we thought it might be stress but she informed me today that it has been ongoing. I am wondering if she could be anemic. Both of her grandmothers are?
Anemia is common in young females due to inadequate diet and Menarche. Anemia may result in fatigue, headaches, palpitations, breathless on exertion and other symptoms. Kindly get her tested for her hb first and then a peripheral blood film will suggest what type of anemia it is. Treatment will be accordingly. Thanks.
