Hi,
Well,
hypothyroidism (Low level of thyroid hormone ) could be related to joint pain, fast heart beat (palpitations/tachycardia) but thyroxine should have compensated it you should consider rechecking your thyroid hormones (free T4 and TSH levels) as may be you are taking a very low dose of thyroxine. However, osteoarthritis/ spondyloarthritis of neck/joint pains are quite common at your age. Furthermore, your headaches and swollen ankles could be a signal of heart problems such as Hypertension (headache), intial stage of
heart failure gives bilateral (both extremities) edema. Please get an ECG done along with lipid profile (Cholestrol, Triglycerides, LDL, HDL, VLDL) and CRP (
C reactive protein) to look for acute
joint inflammation. Meanwhile, joint pains can be managed with pain killers such as Ibuprofen 200 mg twice daily (If there is no previous history of gastric or
duodenal ulcer bleeds on pain killers), also chondroprotectors such as chondroitin sulphate or glucasamine can be started to relieve chronic joint pains.
P.S Lupus doesnt have anything to do with thyroxine and this is not a drug induced lupus
I hope this answers your question.
Feel free to consult for future assistance.
