Are Headaches Normal Post Radical Mastectomy?

my mother had a radical mastectomy 6 weeks ago. For the past 3 weeks she has been suffering severe headaches that occur on the other side of the head to her surgery, is this normal? She has no other medical problems & is normally a very fit & healthy 70 year old.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Unilateral head ache may be mostly migrnae and cannot relate to apostles surgical event. Migrnae can also happen due to hormonal imbalance. Ask her to rake analgesic tablet like diclofenac 50mg when she has head ache.
