Are Headaches Normal When Diagnosed With Toxemia?
I have been recently diagnosed with toxemia and am currently 33.5 weeks... The doctor put me on Labetalol to lower my blood pressure.... I was also asked to monitor my blood pressure for the next two days while at home... I have just taken my last reading for tonight and it was 158/112, the other 4 today were on average 130/95... I have just gotten a severe headache and have taken a Tylenol 3, as prescribed and am waiting for the pain to subside.... Just nervous, and a little scared....

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.A blood pressure reading of 158/112 mm of Hg is considered to be severe pre eclampsia and needs emergency management with injectable antihypertensives.
If not treated in time, it can lead to placental abruption and sudden intrauterine fetal death.
I suggest you to consult your doctor immediately and get treated , preferably as an impatient.
