Are High Eosinophil And Low Testosterone Levels Related?

Hello. Are high eosinophils and low testosterone related in any way? Symptoms are rectal and urethral itching, intermittent brief abdominal/groin/ testicular pain, feeling of not emptying bowels completely. 29 yo male-otherwise healthy. Other than the 2 labs listed above: UA, CBC, cmp, c diff, PSA, and 1 ova parasite stool test all came back normal. Stool/ abdominal symptoms started appx. 2 months ago and urinary symptoms and ED started 2-3 weeks ago. Any input or help would be greatly appreciated. We plan to go back for more labs next week. Thank you.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to an infection. I don't think that the high eosinophils and low testosterone are directly related. I recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound and a testicular ultrasound. A fibrogastroscopy may be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
