Are Hormone Pills Advisable For A Nursing Mother?

If am 28 yrs old. After my second delivery on October 20th last year , I had post natal bleeding for 40days . after that I did not have period for 2 months. Then next month my period stayed for more than a month and the following month it lasted for 16 days. I had undergone ultrasound and the doctor detected PCOD and thickened endometrium. She prescribed dicynone 500 for 3 days. But still I am bleeding .can I take hormone pills wen I am breast feeding? Will there be any other reasons for this prolonged bleeding?

Hello,

You can take the POP progesterone only pill. The other ones have more. side-effects, so better to avoid it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
