Are Inflammation And White Foam In Mouth Due To Acid Reflux?
Hi.. my Mum is 93 and last night suffered a burning sensation in her mouth and was sort of white foaming? Could this just be acid reflux and something else. She was out to dinner and had a seafood basket which was probably much more fat than she is used to in her diet and a big meal for her to go to bed on.

I have gone through your query. White foam and burning in mouth can be due to acid reflux. Taking antacids or proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole (Nexium) will be helpful to get relief from this. If no improvement then consult your GP as there is chance of food poisoning from the sea food you had from outside. Make sure she is well hydrated.
