Hi,

Of course, it is OCD. Simple measures will cause deaddiction to these behavioural issues:
Try to use diversion therapy.
Just relax and count 1 to 10 taking deep breaths to shut down these thoughts immediately
Include good hobbies painting, instrumental which switches the brain space of OCD to constructive results, positive thinking enhancement
Use this energy of the mind to make some good like creative ideas
Take multivitamins, antioxidants like vitamin E supplements, omega 3 fatty acids.

If these measures do not bring change please visit a psychiatrist to guide you some proper medication before this behaviour causes harm to you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anusha Molugu, Anesthesiologist
