Are Irregular Periods And Scanty Bleeding Side Effects Of Meprate?

Hi ! I was not getting periods properly. So my doctor suggested to take meprate 10 once a day for 5 days. So I took it from 22nd-26th oct. After taking that from 6 th day I m having scanty bleeding. Even pads are not needed. Also I m having lower abdominal pain since 7 days which is not going away. Is it the side effects of meprate?? Kindly answer.

Hello,

You are experiencing the side effects of Meprate. To get relieve from pain you can take antacids or PPIs. If you do not get relieve you can take antispasmodics or take naproxen, one stat after food. Get clinically examined by a Gynae, your symptoms may be indicative of anemia, stress, or underlying health conditions like hormonal problems, PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, polyp, fibroid, endometriosis, etc.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Gynae, get per vaginal check-up done, get CBC, HB%, Urinalysis, and required blood tests and investigations-imaging tests done to diagnose the pathology causing you symptoms. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Take home-made food rich in minerals and high in protein.
