Are Left-sided Chest Pain And Constant Pressure In Neck Symptoms Of Heart Attack?
hello Im John. Im concerned that I could have some sings of a heart attack at the present time. My left side of my chest feels sore, my left side of my neck (under my jaw) feels pressure and my face just flushed. Are these signs of a heart attack or something else?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain in chest accompanied by pressure in jaw could be due to cardiac disease. The pain in chest with pressure in jaw could be due to other causes but cardiac disease needs to be ruled out in first place. I suggest you to consult a cardiologist at the earliest for clinical assessment and routine investigations like X-ray, ECG, echocardiography, TMT (if required) to know the exact status of heart and surrounding blood vessels. If any abnormality is detected, it can be managed at the earliest. If no cardiac abnormality is detected, other causes for chest pain and pressure in jaw need to looked for.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
