Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi Ive never been tested for stds and I think I should but I m very scared. I have psoriasis on my body and the lesions on my shaft look similar to that. They go away with the psoriasis lotion. Im just wondering if its herpes or something other than psoriasis. Any feedback is appreciated. thanks
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your lesions on genital area.
As per your history it looks like psoriasis, if the lesion is with silver like scale and bleeds while scratching it is psoriasis.
Herpes lesions are small multiple painful lesions if discharge, ooze a clear fluid and associated with fever and generalized body ache.
You may need to consult a skin and sex specialist for the proper diagnosis or you can upload the images of your lesion on Healthcaremagic.com, we can too provide an best opinion too.
Hope the answer to your query, revert back to us if you have any other questions to be assisted by us.
