Are Light Headedness, Weakness And Sore Arm Symptoms Of Bronchitis?

Ive had bronchitis since Friday. Chest is clearing now although I am still wheezing and feeling "thick" in one place i my right lung which traditionally is the same part that feels sore when I smoke (ex/heavy smoker who, for the last few years has smoked intermittently, around 1 or 2 a day). Haven't smoked for two weeks. I am sore under my right arm and side of right breast. Still congested in my right sinuses and light headed and lacking energy, occasional pain in diaphragm but that could be acid reflux or it could be the bronchitis. Should I visit my doctor?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, you should definitely visit your doctor. Since, you were smoker and you were had bronchitis, you are more prone for lung infections like pneumonia.

Your symptoms are more suggestive of right sided pneumonia. So, it is better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and chest x-ray. Chest x-ray is must for the diagnosis of pneumonia.

You will also need antibiotics, mucolytic and expectorant drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
