Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m freaking out!!! At least 2 years ago I noticed some finger like bumps on my labia. They really don t bother me other than the fact that I over obsess about the fact that they are there. They are very soft and are the same color as the surrounding area. Sometimes when I touch them they are a little tender but I can t really say that they hurt. Could they be an STD or are they vestibular papillae?
If the lesions are few millimeters in length and they are smooth surface and shiny very likely they are vestibular papillae and this is not a sexually transmitted disease, they don't need treatment and there is nothing to worry.
If the lesions are growing, they are rough surface and not smooth and shiny very likely they are warts and in this case very likely a sexually transmitted disease is the case and proper examination is needed.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
