Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Lumps On Head And Tightness Post A Hit Due To Seizures A Cause For Concern?
I suffered a postural hypotension-induced seizure about 32 hours ago and hit my head at least twice against the fireplace. There s a few lumps but my head feels a bit like I m wearing an Alice band a bit tight although I don t have other symptoms. Any need to see the doc?
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Development of swelling after being hit is common. These swellings will go away after some time. Skull is tightly packed so even a small swelling will cause tightness. If you didn't had any episodes of vomiting, blurring of vision, loss of conciousness after that episode then there is nothing to worry.
But I suggest you to consult your doctor for your seizures if not consulted earlier. Don't keep any sharp objects in your room.
Hope this helps.
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask
Regards, Dr Prathap kumar
