Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, this is neat, had no idea. I had two sisters that passed away with lung problems. I m 68, I really do not know their diagnosis. 1 died with harden lungs and the other s shrunk like apple size. I m just wandering if these are hereditary? That s all.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic forum. I understand your concerns. I depend on the exact type of diagnosis. But most lung disorders are not herediaty or genetically determined. There are some relations with ling cancer but most significant risk factor is smoking and if you avoid this then you dont need to be afraid. Only som collagenosis and sarcoidosis may be hereditary but most diseases are not. I hope I have answered your query. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
