Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 25, 165 lbs and 5 foot 2inches. I have been taking 50mg of vyvanse for just over a month. I smoke weed in the evening just before bed. Recently I have noticed mild chest pain along with mild stomach pain. Is this something I should worry about? Does the weed effect the vyvanse in my system? Before vyvanse I would occasionally pick at my fingers, cuticles and bite my inside cheeks and lips. I realized more recently after being on vyvanse that I bite my inside cheek and lips almost non-stop all day. My jaw is becoming sore all the time. I also noticed that I can spend a up to a few hours in the evening, and throughout the day pick at my fingers and cuticles. With my fingers if I see something I need to pick I can t stop thinking about it or focus on anything until I get it. I also have a weird thing about certain textures touching my hands, and I have to wear knee high socks almost all the time because the feeling of My lower legs touching my pants makes me crazy. I don t want this to consume my life or get any worse. But I also don t want lose myself by taking more meds. Where does these impulses come from? And how can I get rid of them before they consume my life even more or ruin my relationship?
The Vyvanse contains Lisdexamphetamine, a central nervous system stimulant drug used in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other clinical indications. The abdomen pain is normal side effect of the same drug and can be eliminated by consuming it after meals. Additional intake of proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole or pantoprazole will also support to sooth the gut better way. Must avoid spices, non veg and dairy fat during the same period.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
