Are Multivitamins Safe For Health?

I have been taking mulitvitamins, B50, co enzyme q10 and flax oil capsules for a number of years. There are recent publications which state that taking vitamins and supplements are in fact injurious to health. I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

Hi,

Hypervitaminosis can occur with fat-soluble vitamins like vitamin A and Vitamin D, and probably Vitamin E and high-dosage of regular and slow-release vitamin B3/Niacin and very high-dosage of vitamin B6. Rest of Water-soluble vitamins like other Vitamin B-complexes are excreted in urine on doses exceeding recommended daily intake. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored by the body for a longer period than the water-soluble vitamins. There is no literature on supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
