Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am currently on cycle day 40 and am 10 days late for my period, i have started bleeding today red blood which is really light and only really there when i go to the toilet. I have been suspecting pregnancy as i have had a few symptoms but i have had 3 negative HPT tests in the last week. should i rule out pregnancy and take this as my period.
If your periods were due 10 days ago and you had a recent urinary pregnancy test that is negative then very likely you are not pregnant.
On the other hand, if you just continue to spot and your periods do not come in the usual flow then you will need to see your doctor and probably have a check of blood BHCG levels to rule out pregnancy for sure.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
