Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Rh negative mothers need of worry if their husbands are Rh positive and their first baby is Rh positive.
An anti-D immunoglobulin needs to administered within the first 72 hrs after delivery or earlier if there is any evidence of bleed and risk of mixing of maternal and fetal blood.
Nausea is a common symptom of
pregnancy as is
vomiting. In some cases, too much vomiting (
hyperemesis gravidarum) may occur and can be harmful for mother and child.
As you seem have a a blood tinged vomitus, I recommend :
-an
OBGYN and physician consult.
-medications for vomiting and
gastritis if present
-urine analysis (to rule out increased blood acidity due to vomiting)
Sometimes heaving forcefully can cause minor bleed that will resolve on its own. It should , however, not be persistent and more than a tinge.
Please go for regular prenatal checkups to maintain and ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery.
I can understand your fear of needles. Being a doctor, I too don't like them much, especially on the receiving end. Think about it like this, it will be over before you know it and can be life saving as well.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you and your baby good health
