Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi. i was diagnosed with a rash my dr said was pityriasis rosea ( although he admitted he wasnt quite sure what it was )that left scars...now, for the past month i ve had extreme nausea and headaches daily, peeling skin on my scrotum and head of penis and my bloodwork came back with low calcium and extremely high white blood cell count. I m afraid i might have some form of leukemia... what do you think?
Hi, Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here
a High White Blood Cells (WBC) Count can indicate so many medical conditions apart from leukemia and this includs any bacterial or viral Infections,Rheumatoid arthritis ,Myelofibrosis ,Polycythemia vera , etc and it needs thorough medical check up and investigations to spot a confirm diagnosis
high WBC count is not a confirmatory sign for leukemia and it should always be evaluated further to rule out the exact pathology
self diagnosis is harmful and i would strongly suggest you to see your doctor ,he will go for all necessary medical investigations to rule out any underlying medical condition
I hope it help Thanks & Get well Soon
