Are Nausea, Heart Racing Due To Changing Insulin From Lantin To Levemir?

I am diabetic on insulin. Due to uncontolable sugar levels, I went ot a new diabetician who changed my insulin to Levemir Flexipen. For last two days I feel nausea and cannot eat anything. Having increased heart beats and as it is late night, consulted a doctor on phone who advised to take itopride sr 150mg once a day. The condition according to him is due to change in insulin from lantin to Levemir.

Dear sir i can understand you condition.
in my opinion both lantus and levemir are similar type of insulins.
increased heartbeat especially in night time might be due to low sugars due to new insulin.
To exclude this condition i suggest you to check your blood sugars during night times regularly whenever there is increased heart rate.
Itopride will be suggested to patients who are having gastric related problems like
1.dyspepsia
2.bloating
3.nausea and vomiting
