Hi,
Calvepen is a narrow spectrum antibiotic and hence usually does not cause severe cumbersome side effects. Still, gastro-intestinal effects like
nausea,
vomiting and loss of appetite may be there, with this drug. However, typically
palpitation is not a common side effect with this drug. These symptoms may be due to disease condition itself.
Similarly, strange smell of urine is also not a common side effect of Calvepen. However, some
vitamins, which you may be taking also, can give strange smell. Also,
dehydration due to less fluid intake may also give smell like ammonia due to presence of more concentration of wastes in the urine. Still, any change of antibiotic must be done only under guidance of your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
