Are Nightmares And Sleep Paralysis Related To Bipolar Disorder?
Hi, my name is Jada and I would like to know if I have any potential to have Bipolar disorder. I feel on top of the world sometimes, like nothing can bring me down and like I can do everything and other times I feel absolutely terrible, I literally hate myself so much that all I want to do is die. I also have constant vivid nightmares and I ve had sleep paralysis twice. This has been happening for quite some time and I m not sure what to make of it. Oh and I have extreme paranoia, sometimes I even think I see things that aren t there because I m so freaked out for no reason. I just need answers. Please help me.
Yes. Bipolar disorder is related to the above symptoms. Have you got your MRI done or EEG done? If not then please get it done and upload your reports too or consult your nearest psychiatrist. Before starting any treatment need to make a proper diagnosis. You can start taking tab lametac 50 mg, it is a mood stabilizer and helps to stabilize your mood swings. Try doing meditation and invest some time in physical activity. It will help you to be active and have peace of mind.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pervinder Rajput, General & Family Physician
