Are Ovarian Cysts Pose A Harmful Threat?

hy.. m 24F, weight 49kg, height 5 1 .. a month ago I felt pain in my left and right abdomen so I had ultrasound nd found one cysts in my each ovary size 22*21mm each.. as mentioned that in simple ovarian cysts.. my periods are irregular by 6-8 days.. like last month it was on 24 july and this month it was on 02 septembr... my gyne told me to take oral contraceptive pills for 6 months and ovacet tab also.. m really worried .. am I suffering from very serious problem .. m getting married in a month .. m really very worried please suggest what to do?

Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
Simple ovarian cyst of size less than 10mm are likely to resolve naturally within few months. Oral contraceptive courses help the process of healing ®ulates hormonal imbalance causing irregular periods too.
So I don't think it needs any extensive treatment at this stage... wait &watch should be best policy in management.
At the same time it's important to be watchful about cysts... be in regular touch with the treating doctor...also 6 monthly usg is advisable to exclude increase in it's size /getting it complicated in appearance.
Marraige would actually help in normalising hormonal status ... so you can get married..provided you are careful about cysts as suggested earlier.
