Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Pain In Chest, Tingling Arms And Heartburn With High Cholesterol A Cause For Concern?
I am feeling different over the last two days and I am concerned but don t want to go to doctor unless I am sure of what I am feeling. I am having pain in my chest (left side), tingling in my left forearm to finger tips, heart burn, bloatedness, and I am extremely warm (sweaty). I know that I have high colesterol and am not treating for it but trying to reduce it with diet. Should I seek help?
hello there, A history of high cholesterol , with pain and tingling along your left arm radiating to your fingertips is a symptom I will like you to get checked out. At the very least you need to visit a physician and get an EKG/ ECG done. Based on the report of the EKG we can discuss further treatment and management. For the time being you can have a tab rantac 150 mg twice a day in the morning and evening and sublingual nitrate . But this is just a stop gap measure to relieve your symptoms till you visit the clinic. do get the EKG done as soon as possible. hope this helps, please feel free to address any further queries to me,
