General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After an episode of abortion by using pills, you can get intermittent spotting and passage of clots during subsequent periods for up to 6 weeks.

If it continues beyond 6 weeks and it becomes bothersome, it is advisable to take an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
