Are Periods With Clots Normal After Using Misoprostol And Mifepristone For Abortion?
I had abortion two weeks ago by the use of pills misoprostol and mifepiston I had light bleeding with few small clots for three days and it stopped. Now after two weeks the bleeding has started again like that of period but with clots and cramping its my third day today since its return is this normal???
After an episode of abortion by using pills, you can get intermittent spotting and passage of clots during subsequent periods for up to 6 weeks.
If it continues beyond 6 weeks and it becomes bothersome, it is advisable to take an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashakiran S,
