Are Persistent Cold, Blood In Mucus And Cough Suggestive Of Pneumonia?

Hi, woman, 59 years old, generally good health, non smoker. Been fighting bad cold/crud for a week, lots of mucus and coughing. Mucus from chest was clear, then got cloudier, and just coughed and there was a little blood in it. Is this symptom of bronchitis or pneumonia or ? No fever as far as I know. Thank you.

hii,
Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here

The medical history you provided can be suggestive of variety of medical conditions including - pneumonia , lower/upper respiratory tract infection , tuberculosis , Bronchitis ,lung tumors , Pulmonary cavity and many other serious conditions

you also had blood in cough (hemoptysis) and it can be a sign of a serious medical condition so you immediately needs thorough medical check up and investigations to spot a confirm diagnosis

Self diagnosis will not help and i would strongly suggest you to immediately see Chest & TB specialist , he will examine you thoroughly and may go for an Chest X ray with other necessary investigation to rule out any underlying medical condition

I hope it help
