Are Persistent Dizziness, Nausea And Feeling Of Fainting Signs Of Vertigo?

My dauterlaw is experiencing daily dizziness. She has not vomited or fallen but feels at times that she could. She has had blood work done and all seemed to be fine. She has an appointment with her doctor on September 1. I feel she might have vertigo. Is there anything that might help with the symptoms over the counter without a script. Thanks. Concerned motherin law
