Are Pins And Needles On Finger Tips A Symptom Of Hypothermia?
My question is regarding after getting hypothermia. While at work today, I delevoloped hypothermia, I d classify it as a mild case. My hands did go completely numb during that time. No symptoms since being brought back home to get warmed up. The only lingering effect is still some tingles in my finger tips. Like they are all being poked with pin needles. Have feeling in them, but have those feelings in those tips.is this just frost nip?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pins and needles on finger tips . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like raynaud's disease , cold temperatures anxiety , stress , dehydration, hyperventilating or diabetes I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test for checking blood glucose level , stress test and take history . Doctor may refer you to endocrinologist , who may prescribed medicine like metformine or to orthopedic surgeon , because sometimes the symptoms can also occur due to cervical spondolysis . For now drink plenty of water , eat healthy and do light exercises .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
