Are Rashes On The Back Of The Hand And Neck Suggestive Of Lupus?
yes, I had Gastric Bypass. my son just had stomach flu and I have fibromyalgia I have been feeling sick to my stomach and I also have rashes near two or my incision areas they have closed but the rashes bother me. I also have a rash on the back of my neck and my hand. I worry about Lupus. Should I go to my Surgeon or my Reumotalogist
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Going to a rheumatologist may be the better option if the rash does not resolve.
It is important to remember that rashes can occur with viral illnesses such as the ' stomach flu.' This is called viral exanthem. The rash normally resolves along with or soon after the other symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
